Dear devotees.

Today was a very active day for HH Jayapataka Swami, I can say it was more
then for any other person who has no health problems of the magnitude of the
one of Gurumaharaja, but it is amazing how Krsna gives him a lot of energy
and strength to participate in many activities, all for sure for the sake of
the devotees and for his mission of preacher.

HH JPS woke up early and after getting ready went to the temple during japa
chanting, then came back to the room as it was not advised to be during
darsan arati due to the crowd. During Bhagavatam class GM came back to the
temple and went to offer prayers to Srila Prabhupada then to Sri Panca
Tattva, he remained in front of the deities for long time, praying for the
devotees for sure, while HG Harivilas prabhu was giving Bhagavatam lecture
that GM after the Panca Tattva and Radha Madhava darsan went to hear the
lecture. The rest was his normal activity of breakfast and then took some
therapies.

During the day a breaking grain ceremony was also held by GM to a baby son
of one of his disciples.

During the morning also all the servants were purchasing the best possible
gifts to give to the GBC members. This also took some part of GM´s time as
he likes to monitor all these things and gives ideas to the devotees.

This time GM wanted to participate more in the GBC meeting so he spent some
time until it was almost 1:00 pm. As usual Gurumaharaja as a main host in
Mayapur every year offers some gifts to the GBC body members and now was the
right time. The nice time came to give a real break to the members of the
higher administrative body of ISKCON. HH Ramai Swami, the GBC Chairman
announced that now we have a break and HH JPS as every year will distribute
some gifts to all the members. First they thought only for GBC main members,
but GM told him, ¨no, it is for all, GBC´s and deputy GBC and all regional
secretaries present. Total was almost 50 gifts. Every one came to GM and got
his gift from his hand, that were all prepared in a record time by GM´s
servants in Mayapur. GM then left and came down for his normal daily
physiotherapies program. Please see attached pics.

During the physiotherapy time, HH Bir Krsna maharaja came along with HH
Kavicandra Maharaja to see GM. Bir Krishna Goswami was informing our
Gurudeva about certain therapies  that helps in activating the muscles and
the nerve system, including some laughing therapy that are  good as well. It
activates the internal organs of the body and feels more relaxed and
energetic. GM after the therapies had lunch and then took rest.
At 6 pm the always awaited Caitanya Lila started. GM from his room could
hear  the kirtans going on, while I was outside for few minutes, I was
approached by HG Prashant Goswami who is the 14th descendant of the Supreme
Lord Adwaita Acarya with his son the 15th descendant of this important
brahminic dynasty. So he wanted to meet GM as he heard that GM was sick and
informed to us did special prayers and yajnas for Gm at that very holy place
of Shantipur festival where Lord Caitanya blesses every one who takes and
serve prasad with Krsna Prema. We in ISKCON Mayapur organize this festival
every year to feed between 40000 to 50000 pilgrims and devotees every year 2
days before Gaurpurnima festival.

HH JPS gave a very ecstatic lecture combined with questions and answers.
First part of the class was to officially welcome Prashant Goswami and his
son on the stage, so I had the mercy to do this service to introduce them to
the audience of devotees. The son of Prashant Goswami spoke few words in
English then in Bangla on behalf of his father. The translation was done by
Adwaita Acarya prabhu. He spoke about the great relationship his grandfather
Shanti Sakha Goswami had with Srila Prabhupada and how HH JPS is so
important to them. They see that Gurumaharaja represent Srila Prabhupada in
all means. Then GM replied by talking about what has happened between Srila
Prabhupada and the grand father of the visiting devotees, where even Srila
Prabhupada once said that in case we wouldn’t have acquired the land in
Mayapur we would have taken it in Shantipur and our ISKCON Headquarters
would have been there. GM said that Shanti Sakha Goswami use to consider him
his younger brother, so now I consider Prashant Goswami my nephew. (all
chanted haribol. GM Showed them the garland that was given by Goswami which
is from Lord Adwaita´s deity in Shantipur.

For the next Shantipur festival GM may not make it due to the traveling he
needs for treatment. He praised the visitors and prayed that always ISKCON
devotees can do the Shantipur festival. Mr. Goswami has a great and natural
love and affection for GM. He offers a lot of respects and admiration for
his preaching mission.

After the lecture GM went to his room for short time then
went to the auditorium in the Srila Prabhupada´s Samadhi, invited by
Janmastami prabhu for a program about the Bhakti sastri courses given by the
MIHE. I informed Janmastami prabhu about the arrival of GM, the auditorium
was fully packed and many senior vaishnavas were present delivering their
speeches. When Janmastami pr. informed that Jayapataka Maharaja was coming,
a big silence filled the hall. HH JPS was taken down to the stage, as the
auditorium´s design is like the roman amphitheaters. He was welcomed by big
haribol shouting’s by the devotees. Janmastami pr. thanked him for coming.
HG Anuttama Prabhu had his speech at this time. Then as HH JPS had to go for
the next program, he was given the chance to talk on the academic
preparation of the devotees at this moment. Gurumaharaja mentioned how Lord
Caitanya who was very intelligent and had many intelligent students under
him, He liked them to study the sastras but didn’t want them to be jnanis,
but to learn Bhakti. He also spoke about that one time Srila Prabhupada sent
Ravindra Swarupa prabhu and other devotee to see if some university can have
a branch in Mayapur, but seems was not achieved, then he mentioned about the
Maharashtra open University who is willing to accept this task. I had the
service to talk to the Vice-chancellor of this University while I was in
Pune on this topic. It was approved and we are just waiting for the time
when the festival finish, so devotees would spare some time to make it
reality.

HH JPS also added how nice and important is Bhakti Sastri as devotees come
here to learn and also get attracted by the mission of lord Caitanya and the
holydham. He also thanked Anuttama prabhu for his points during his speech.
Then he had to go to the Radha Madhava temple for the book distribution
Award.

GM entered the main temple and was received by HG Vijaya Prabhu in front of
the Murti of Srila Prabhupada (see pic), and then GM went to have a place
amongst the speakers, while HH Candramali Maharaja was delivering his speech
on the sankirtan book distribution.

For this event were present HG Praghosa prabhu, Bhakti Purusottama swami,
Candramali Maharaja and alter HH Gopal Krsna Goswami came. Each one has his
time to talk a part from the host HG Vijaya Prabhu. Amongst the organizers
were HG Venudhari prabhu, under the leadership of HG Saci Kumar prabhu, the
department head of Sankirtan in Mayapur.
This year India won the best 2 places in book distribution in the world as I
was informed, 1rst was Delhi temple, then Bombay temple then Mayapur temple
in 3rd place.

At the end devotees offered a special big letter to GM, (we are posting
below the transcription of this letter).
In the letter they told gm how Srila Prabhupada orders you to distribute
10000 big books and 100000 small books every month.
After this program GM left and went to his room for dinner.
While GM was taking dinner prasad the sankirtan department devotees came to
sing bhajans. HG Saci Kumar prabhu was leading the kirtan with a very sweet
and melodious voice.

Many are coming to take darsan and offer some gifts to gm, many are worried
to give the best so we get suggestions from many devotes who have some basic
knowledge on health and alternative therapies.

Today Dr Radha Radhiya das from Germany came to see gm, he is medical doctor
but now is specialized in nutrition, and he was talking to GM with the
presence of Dr. Madhavanada from Bhaktivedanta hospital, which came today
also to participate in the Maha Abhisheka festival.

Please see many attached pictures of all these events, every day more and
more devotees are coming to Mayapur to get the blessings of Lord Gauranga,
we hope every devotee in the world will have this great chance of his life.
