Guru Maharaja woke up and had an oil massage before having the bath. After
having his morning breakfast at 8.30 am he had pranic healing for an hour by
Aditi. Aditi’s father is initiated in the line of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and
they are worshippers of Krsna. She had been to Mayapur in her childhood once
and she still fondly remembers Mayapur. She saw the schedule of Guru
Maharaja which was posted outside of his room and said pranic healing,
accupuncture, face theraphy and physiotheraphy all goes hand in hand. This
is Krsna’s arrangement and it should be helpful in the process of Guru
Maharaja’s recovery.

At 10am the accupuncture treatment started. Lilanandi Mataji only speaks
Chinese and for the first two days it was difficult without a translator.
Maha Varaha prabhu knew little Chinese and he saved the situation. Asraya
Gauranga prabhu from Kolkata temple arranged for a professional translator.
His name is Michael. What a fortune for him to be able to render devotional
service to a pure devotee! He is a very nice boy.
After the accupuncture was the facial therapy by Mahabahu Govinda prabhu for
30 min. Guru Maharaja watched a powerpoint presentation between 1.30 to 2pm
prepared by Caitanya Caran prabhu. Today Guru Maharaja was scheduled to give
a seminar for the youth entitled, “How to cope up with recession? A message
to the youth of India.”
The lunch finished around 3pm and Guru Maharaja took rest for 2hrs. The
physiotherapist Dr.Somnath who is a neuro physist was supposed to come at
5.30 pm. He is a lecturer in a college and his lecture finishes at 5pm and
it takes 30 min to reach the temple from the college. As there was heavy
traffic jam he only reached here at 6pm and the therapy went on until 7pm.
Later Guru Maharaja had to do nature call and shower and because of his
bodily condition it takes time for this whole process.
By the time we reached the venue it was already 8.30am so the seminar was
postponed to 27th. Guru Maharaja gave a short lecture for 30 min. There were
around 100 IYF members who had gathered. Guru Maharaja spoke on how he was a
science student before and he liked the scientific way of explanation of
philosophy by Srila Prabhupada and the scriptures. So he got attracted. He
also explained how the scriptures are not mythology it is actually a record
of the real history that had happened, ‘purunas’ means ‘history’. Maxmuller
had interpreted it wrongly and translated it in such a way so that the
people could be converted easily to christianity and not believe in Vedic
scriptures. The Indians were not affected by this misrepresentation so much
but the Westerners were. For example, murti or arca vigraha was translated
by him as idol or statue. The Indians although say the Deity as idol or
statue but within their heart and mind they have respect and honor for the
Deity form. But in English an idol or statue is just a piece of wood or
stone nicely carved so the Westerners don’t give so much importance to
statue or idol. In Christianity it is understood there is God and Jesus is
his son but no more information about the God other than that. But in Vedic
scriptures there is so much more information.
After the class Guru Maharaja was taken to have darshan of Their Lordships
Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra Devi. HG Bhadra Caru prabhu and HG
Ganga prabhu were the priests. Bhadra Caru prabhu chanted the mantras of
Baladeva, Jagannatha and Subhadra Devi while Guru Maharaja was touching the
plate of flowers and tulasi which were to be offered to the Deities. First
the sankalpa was made and Bhadra Caru prabhu said Guru Maharaja can carry on
with his next program if he would like to and the archana would be done on
his behalf but Guru Maharaja stayed there until the whole thing finished.
Even in this situation Guru Maharaja is setting an example how one should be
careful and conscious in worshipping the Deities.
Guru Maharaja then went to the VIP room to have his dinner. Upon entering HH
Bhakti Caru Maharaja who was present in the room came upto Guru Maharaja and
they embraced each other lovingly. Maharaja sat next to Guru Maharaja
affectionately while he had his dinner. Guru Maharaja spoke in between with
Maharaja. Since Guru Maharaja cannot speak and eat at the same time like
earlier it took more than an hour or so for him to finish the dinner. When
Guru Maharaja took rest it was quite late. The next day Guru Maharaja
expressed how this meeting was unexpected and spontaneous but he was happy
to have some loving exchanges with Maharaja.
