Guru Maharaja came to the temple and joined the morning Damodar arotik.
After having darshan he went to his room to have breakfast. I heard he met
with some devotees giving darshan. Devotees from Nava Mumbai headed by Ram
Giridhari prabhu had come to meet Guru Maharaja. Then he had face therapy.
He went to the meeting around 12 noon. He came back for the lunch. Â There
was a big group of devotees in the room. Dhiralalit prabhu’s Nama Hatta
group members had come to have darshan of Guru Maharaja. Rasapriya Gopika
dd, Smita, Swasti, Anandi Madhava prabhu and his family, Ananda Visakha
Mataji and her husband were all present for the afternoon kirtan.
There are still 3 shifts of care takers for Guru Maharaja. In the afternoon
shift were Dharesha prabhu’s group. Today was Dharesha prabhu’s birthday.
There was a birthday cake distributed to the devotees present. Also Guru
Maharaja distributed some mahasweet to the devotees. Guru Maharaja is on
some strict diet from Malaysia. He has lost 5 kgs in Malaysia and he wants
to lose more weight. Each day he has different diet prescribed by the
Dietician. After prasad Guru Maharaja went to take short rest.
After Guru Maharaja woke up he went for the afternoon session of the
meetings related with Mayapur project which was between 3 to 6pm. Although
the meeting finished at 6pm Guru Maharaja was invited for another hour of
meeting for MVT.
Guru Maharaja came back to his room and had his dinner. Anandamayi Radha dd,
Pujya Visnupriya dd, Kunjarani and her mother Gandharvika and two more
devotees were present in the room for kirtan and darshan. Guru Maharaja gave
a small darshan to all of them after dinner.
The previous day Guru Maharaja had asked for Kunjarani’s mother. He said he
often meets Kunjarani’s father but not so much her mother. So her mother had
come to see Guru Maharaja. She said she came to ISKCON in 1984 and Guru
Maharaja responded, “you just missed Srila Prabhupada!” She was initiated by
Kirtananda Prabhu. Guru Maharaja asked about the present condition of
Kirtananda Prabhu. We had informed Guru Maharaja that Kirtananda Prabhu had
visited Guru Maharaja when he was in ICCU of Hindhuja hospital. Guru
Maharaja didn’t know as he was in coma at that time. My husband,
Vaikunthapati Prabhu said to Guru Maharaja that Kirtananda Prabhu had
visited 2 times. Guru Maharaja was surprised and said that he saw him the
previous time in USA 2 years back and he said now he owes one more time to
see him 🙂
Guru Maharaja said that Bhakti Caru Maharaja had ordered him to stay back
when he was in critical situation in Hindhuja hospital and because of that
he stayed back. Bhakti Caru Maharaja had informed Guru Maharaja it wasn’t an
order but a request but somehow Guru Maharaja took it has an order. I
responded to Guru Maharaja, “We are all happy that you stayed back and it
doesn’t matter whether it was an order or request.” He also said that
Radhanath Maharaja and his Bhaktivedanta Hospital doctors took nice care of
him. He said Dr Acyutananda, Dr Sagar and Dr Shiromani , they all were round
the clock in Hindhuja hospital. In the beginning no one could understand so
much what Guru Maharaja spoke but somehow Dr Shiromani mataji was able to
understand everything and she repeated the words of Guru Maharaja to the
devotees.
Revati Raman prabhu, Bhaktika Mataji and their younger daughter, Krishna
priya came to meet Guru Maharaja. Guru Maharaja asked if they had taken
prasad and if they were coming from Vrindavan and also the room number where
they were staying. They were just in the next floor above Guru Maharaja.
Guru Maharaja jokingly said, “We should be careful of what we speak
otherwise they will hear us.” Â Amongst the group of the devotees present in
room where two girls who were sisters. The eldest is 21 and the youngest 18
but the youngest looked elderly. Revati Raman prabhu wasn’t aware of this as
he had walked into the room later. Guru Maharaja asked him to tell who was
the eldest. Kunjarani said it was a tricky question. Revati Raman prabhu
gave the right answer. Anandamayi commented, “The answer was in the question
so it wasn’t difficult for him to reply.” Revati Raman prabhu agreed to her
and everyone laughed.
Guru Maharaja was tired and so we all left the room so he could take rest.
Your humble servant,
Ratnavali dd
