Guru Maharaja arrived at Kuala Lumpur at around 10.30am. There were many
disciples eagerly waiting to receive Guru Maharaja. Guru Maharaja said that
he slept only for 3 hrs previous night. Then showed that He was very tired.
From the airport Guru Maharaja went straight to the house (newly built house
of HG Lokaswami prabhu, given for Guru Maharaja and his servants to stay).
Even though Guru Maharaja was tired he spent time with the disciples who
were there at the airport asking about their well beings!!! And everybody
received Guru Maharaja’s blessings !! when one devotee said that Guru
Maharaja looked better and there is so much improvement Guru Maharaja
responded “your blessings” !!!
In the evening Guru Maharaja came for Taman Medan ratha yatra that was the
first time the congregation devotees having Guru Maharaja’s darshan. There
was a really warm welcome arranged for Guru Maharaja. Devotees did arati (to
remove dristi, evil eye) for Guru Maharaja and girls with lamps and flowers
ushered Guru Maharaja to the stage. Guru Maharaja gave a short talk. He said
“I joined ISKCON in 1968 during Ratha yatra. That day I decided to shave up
and jojn as a brahmacari. I thought let me try this for few months. If I
don’t like I will leave. But ladies and gentlemen I really liked this
movement and I will never leave this”.
Guru Maharaja spoke about how merciful Lord Jagannath is and Ratha Yatra is
a nice opportunity for everybody to do service. Guru Maharaja made all of us
chant Ha Ri Ha Ri Hari Hari Hari. Guru Maharaja said when you chant the
names of Hari all the miseries go away, it removes all the garbage from our
heart.
Guru Maharaja said “if you don’t try chanting the Lord’s name how will you
know whether you like it or not..”
After that at around 10.30pm Guru Maharaja left to the house to take rest.
