Dear Maharajas / Prabhus,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
HH Jayapataka Swami was admitted to the P D Hinduja Hospital yesterday
morning ( 23rd Oct 2008) at around 5 am in a serious condition. He was
admitted to the ICCU. CT scan was done and it was found that there was a
brain hemorrhage in the brain stem. Brain stem is a very sensitive place
where operation cannot be done. Presently he is under life support system.
His BP was very high when he was admitted.
The group of doctors who are taking care of HH Jayapataka Swami said that
his condition is very critical and that only prayers will help.
Devotees are requested to perform continous kirtan. Various temples in India
are already doing continous kirtan and offering special prayers to Lord
Narasimhadev.
The Hinduja hospital is one of the best hospital’s in the city with top
notch doctors. They are very strict with anyone entering in the ICCU or for
that matter even in the normal wards. The Mumbai management and the devotees
here are taking best care of the situation.
After hearing about Maharaj’s condition many devotees from India and abroad
started coming to Mumbai. Many devotees started visiting the hospital and as
a result both the doctors and the hospital management have complained to us
about this. They only allow one person to be around. No one is allowed in
the ICCU as anyone carrying bacteria may harm Maharaj as his immune system
is not working properly. Hence there is no point in so many devotees coming
to the hospital. We have assigned few devotees with this task.
The best medicine and response by devotees to this situation is that they be
where they are and pray for Maharaj’s health.
We will keep you updated on the situation from time to time.
