Passing away of Devaki Mayi dd

Dear  devotees,

PAMHO. AGTSP. AGTGM.

Few hours ago our dear Devaki Mayi dd left her body during the auspicious
month of Damodar at 8pm in Guayaquil-Equador on 5th November. At that time
in India was 6:30am the time when devotees/sadhus do meditation and chant
auspicious mantras and that particular day the whole of India was getting
ready to celebrate one of the most important days know as the Festival of
Lights or Dipavali. This festival also represents the way we need to clean
our hearts to be able to receive our eternal father Sri Krishna in the same
way the inhabitants of Ayodhya cleaned, decorated and illuminated the whole
of the city of Ayodhya to receive Lord Ramachandra.

Prayers for Devaki Mayi Mataji

Dear Devotees,

Hare Krsna. Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada. All glories to Srila Gurudeva.

We spoke with Marici prabhu over the phone and he informed us that Ekanath
Gaura Prabhu, his wife Devaki Mayi Mataji, Sarva Sakti Mataji and two other
devotees were in the car traveling. They met with accident when two cars hit
each other. The exact details are not known yet. Four devotees except Devaki
Mayi Mataji had minor injuries. Devaki Mayi Mataji had serious head injury
and has been admitted in the ICU. Ekanath Gaura Prabhu is in a shocked state
as well as others. Today Ekanath Gaura prabhu’s brother Manohara Syama
prabhu is flying to meet with them.

Devaki Mayi Mataji is born in a devotee family and studied in Gurukula.
Their parents are Kanu Pandit prabhu and Isa Rani Mataji.

Guru Maharaja spoke to Ekanath Gaura prabhu over the phone. Guru Maharaja
also announced during the GBC Meetings today and requested all the GBCs and
the participants to pray for Devaki Mayi Mataji’s recovery. Guru Maharaja is
also requesting all the devotees to pray for her.

Also in Mumbai, Bhakta Priya Mataji offered evening kirtan after Damodara
arotik for Devaki Mayi.

Let’s all continue praying for her.

Your humble servants,

Vaikunthapati Das and Ratnavali DD

Urgent! Prayers required

Dear Devotees,

Hare Krsna. Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada. All glories to Srila Gurudeva.

We are very sad to inform that we received message through Madhava Kanta
prabhu that our dear godbrother and godsisters, Ekanath Gaura prabhu, his
wife Devaki Mayi Mataji and Sarva Sakti Mataji met with an accident some
hours ago in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Devaki Mayi Mataji is in a serious
situation and is in Intensive Care Unit.

All the above mentioned devotees are very dear to Guru Maharaja. Ekanath
Gaura prabhu and Devaki Mayi Mataji have been serving Guru Maharaja as his
traveling secretaries. Sarva Sakti Mataji is the continental coordinator for
the Latin American Congregational Development Ministry and in the management
team of the Safari tour of Guru Maharaja.

So please let us all offer prayers to Lord Narasimhadeva and offer lamps to
Lord Damodara for the above devotees recovery.

We don’t have much information yet and as we come to know more we will keep
you all informed.

Your humble servants,

Vaikunthapati Das and Ratnavali dd

Diary from Bangladesh by Ganga prabhu

After many years, almost 30, here I was driving again with the most
precious possession of my life,  my spiritual guide and Master , friend and
confidant, the one who turned my life around in 1979! Jaya Pataka
Swami!

Driving a new red Toyota from Mayapur to Haridaspur, Benapole border to
Bangladesh, we started at around 11 am, following us is the Temple traveler,
were many devotees, the luggage, wheelchair etc. We reached Haridaspur at 1
pm where our temple is situated, 2 Km from the border.  A crowd of about 200
devotees received us with kirtan, flower throwing and ululating ladies etc.
“Our hero has come back home!” The feeling of love could be sensed in the
air, some ladies were crying, overcome with emotion upon looking at the face
of our beloved Gurudeva HH Jayapataka Swami. I controlled myself as we
unloaded the wheelchair, our car could only go so far, in fact on the last
portion of the road approaching the temple, the chassis of the car scraped
the mud floor!
