Dear Devotees,

Hare Krsna. Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada. All glories to Srila Gurudeva.

We are so happy to inform the devotees that Guru Maharaja safely arrived to
Mayapur today. Guru Maharaja reached Kolkata airport at 11am and there were
many hundreds of local devotees receiving Guru Maharaja at the airport. At
12 noon Guru Maharaja was brought in his vehicle to Mayapur assisted by Dr.
Acyutananda prabhu, Ekanath Gaura prabhu, Maha Varaha prabhu and Bhadra
Balaram prabhu. Guru Maharaja had a lunch break on the way.

Guru Maharaja first stopped at Rajapur. He took a shower and had darshan of
his beloved Deities Sri Sri Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra Devi. Guru
Maharaja always recommends devotees’ to pray to these powerful Deities as
They perform many pastimes.

It is with a lot of happiness in our heart that we inform the devotees that
our beloved Gurumaharaja HH Jayapataka Swami is going to Sri Mayapur Dham
tomorrow Friday 20th of February 2009, to be present in the very
transcendental and great Mahaabhisheka to the Panca Tattva Bhagavan Deities,
that he loves and worship the most along with Sri Sri Radha Madhava asta
sakhis and Lord Narasimhadeva, the very merciful and presiding Deities of
our Sri Mayapur Candrodaya Mandir.

HH Jayapataka Swami gives lecture at Srinathji Dham -Mumbai.

As usual every Sunday we have some special program for HH Jayapataka Swami
Gurumaharaja, as it is the only day free for him to go out of the hospital
and have minimum number of therapies.

This Sunday was decided to attend the invitation of the devotees from ISKCON
Juhu and ISKCON Surat who are organizing a picnic for the devotees
especially the ISKCON Youth forum from Juhu and the Bhakti vriksha groups,
at a site in the forest on the north-west side of the outskirt of Mumbai,
almost 35 minutes from Mira Road.

Diary of HH Jayapataka Swami on 16-02-2009 at the Bhaktivedanta Hospital on
Monday program.

As per today, the activities of HH Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaja, are as
usual normal, with physiotherapies and doctors checking etc. The main
activity or the highlight of the day was at night, were GM gave a special
lecture to the devotees at the Hospital.

He was visited by many devotees between 6pm and 7pm, including a devotee
from Mathuradesh his name is Divyakeshava das, who told about the preaching
there and the last Rathayatra festival and how they were expecting
Gurumaharaja to participate in this big festival.

12-Feb-09, Report from Teja Gaurangi Mataji

Today, while taking breakfast and lunch, Guru Maharaja was eating 90% by
himself. He was using his right hand much more than before. One mataji sent
him a special eating spoons from USA, which are flexibile and patients can
bend them while eating. It’s helping him a lot to do the eating by himself.

Just now I’ve spoken with Devaki Mataji, a senior devotee and disciple of
Srila Prabhavisnu Swami, who was working as a phisiotherapist in Germany and
has an expirience with the patients in a condition as Guru Maharaja is now.
She is now working in a team with Guru Maharaja’s physiotherapist and is
giving him some inputs. They have made a bit of a change in the treatment
plan. Specificaly she added some exercises in the lower position, like
positions on the knees and on the hands and knees, that should be developed
before exercises for walking. According to Devaki Mataji that’s very
important for getting stability and balance before going to walking
exercises. She has started to train few of the Guru Maharaja’s servants to
do a physiotherapy with Guru Maharaja (some basic things). Also, she
explained them they should let and encourage Guru Maharaja to do more of a
daily movements by himself, like eating, standing, turning, etc. In one
sense, their service to Guru Maharaja now is not to serve him, she said
jokingly to them. Because of her input, Guru Maharaja today started to eat
by himself and to use the right hand, which is much more difficult for him
to use than the left hand.

JPS Vyasa puja

Dear Prabhus,

I hope by now you must have heard that this year we will celebrate Guru
maharaj Vyasa puja on 5th April 2009.

The plan is to observe this festival as JPS disciples get together and have
a four days festival.

As per the schedule devotees will arrive on 2nd April and stay upto 6th
April.

11 Feb 2009 – Mumbai, India report from Tusti Mohan

Dear Devotees.
Dandavat pranams

After been for some time out of Bombay, as I went to Pune that day with HH
Jayapataka Swami and stayed back till the temple opening in Arawade, (4
hours from Pune in Maharashtra) and then to Pandharpur dham, I just came
yesterday early morning by train from Solarpur, reaching at 9:00 am at the
Bhaktivedanta Hospital, wanting to see GM, but found out that His Holiness
was taking bath so decided to come later. Few days back while I was in
Arawade I was told that HH Sivaram Swami and HH Bhaktivikas swami are coming
to see HH JPS before going for GBC meetings at Mayapur Dham. It was great to
see that many senior devotees are coming to visit our beloved Gurudeva on
their way to Mayapur by having a stopover in Bombay. This also gives him a
lot of happiness. So I came back at 11 am and found that GM was in a meeting
with HG Dr. Madhavanada Prabhu and the acupuncturist who was putting some
magnets on the fingers of GM for a special therapy and to help in increasing
his level of sensations in the right leg.

Sketch for GM in Nityananda´s day

Due to Ivesvara and Teja Gaurangi’s inspiration, on the day of Lord Nityananda we prepared a little sketch for GM of the pastime when Lord Gauranga met Lord Nityananda for the first time.
OTeja and I, started practicing one hour before, it was very exciting, we were both very nervious and we needed to find who could play teh role of Haridas and Srivas, until we found them!!!! Right before we came into the room, Teja and I , we both explained to ur husbands what each one needed to do, jejejeje…. and we came in to surprise GM!!! When we finished the drama we offered petals to GM!! It was His first Gurupuja after a long time!!!! GM put His hand on our heads giving us all blessings !!!!!!

H.H. Jayapataka Maharaj was requested to give a lecture on the pastimes
of Nityananda prabhu on Phone for thousands of devotees listening to
him Live at Radha Gopinath temple, Chowpatty, Mumbai. He gave a
beautiful short class on the pastimes of Lord Nityananda.

The transcription of the above lecture is as follows:

So Lord Nityananda said, “You can build a ghat to facilitate people to bathe
in Ganges. In this way by facilitating people in their spiritual life you
get forgiven for offenses. So this is a secret for all of us by preaching
Krsna Consciousness we can be forgiven for all of our offenses. So Madhai
during the hottest time of the year when the Ganges was low constructed a
bathing ghat with his own hands. That was known as Madhai ghat. So this is
one pastime of Nityananda.

Another pastime is when Jahnava Devi was on the way to Vrndavan she stopped
at Ekachakra to see the birth place of Lord Nityananda, her husband. There
was a old man who was walking on the pathway. The old man: “Ha! Ha! Ha!
Nitai! Nitai! Nityananda! Nityananda! Why did you leave? The village became
empty without you.” Then they stopped him and asked, “Why you are saying,
Jaya Nitai! Jaya Nitai?” He said, “He was the life of the village here. He
could have taken our children. He could have taken mine. Why did Nityananda
go? When he left the village is dead. I am missing so much Nityandanda!
Nityananda!  Nityananda! Haribol!” Lord Nityananda would be playing with the
children and the play would be of the different pastimes of the Lord. So
like this one day they were playing Rama Lila. Nityananda was playing
Laxman. He was hit by the arrow of Indrajit. He was lying unconscious. His
mother Padmavati came and she said, “Please come home and take prasad.”
Everybody was ready to go but Lord Nityananda was lying unconscious. Then
they called the father what to do. Father is Harai Oja. Call the
doctor………
