Dear devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!
Since Thursday 18. February Guru Maharaja has started to give evening
lectures on the pastimes of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu in LA ISKCON temple.
There will be a three days break from Monday to Wednsday, and than again
from Thursday 25. February he will continue untill the end of Guara Purnima
festival.
Since Navadvip Mandala Parikrama is going on Guru Maharaja has been
explaining the glories of different islands of Navadvipa Mandala, according
to the movements of Parikrama. Guru Maharaja has been saying that although
he’s physicaly not there, in his mind and in his heart he’s there on
Navadvip Mandala Parikrama. From the days of beginning the following
Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama by ISKCON devotees Guru Maharaja was there every
year untill now. Even last year he spent some short time in Mayapur for
Gaura Purnima festival and went by car to meet Parikrama devotees on some
places. It’s quite obvious that Guru Maharaja feels separation from Mayapur,
especialy in this time during Gaura Purnima festival, and he express it by
words on his lectures many times. On Saturday he was talking about
Champahatti and the pastime of poet Jayadev writing Gita Govinda verses, the
pastime that is usualy performed as a drama by devotees in Champahatti
during Parikrama. While explaining this pastime in the mood of drama Guru
Maharaja was hardly stopping his tears. It was very moving and those who
were present could feel the blissful mood of Navadvip Mandala Parikrama
through the medium of a pure representative of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
Still, although he would rather be in Mayapur at the present moment,
surounded by hundreds of devotees and wellwishers in the blissful festival
atmosphere, he’s surrendered to do his therapy program with determination
and humillity, always ready to serve by preaching the message of Krishna
consiousness to others.
Your servant,
Teja Gaurangi devi dasi
