Dear Devotees,
Hare Krsna. Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada. All glories to Srila Gurudeva.
Bhakti Purushottama Maharaja was in anxiety earlier regarding accomplishing
the sankalpa. With his sincere desire and with all devotees enthusiasm the
vrata was easily accomplished. Indeed it was even triple achieved! Thank you
all so much. Here is the report:
Number of devotees chanted – 1991
Number of devotees who gave their names later – 248
Grand total – 2239
Total number of rounds chanted – 1150143
Late submission – 194957
Grand total – 1345100
Total number of names chanted – 2591804736 (approx 2.6
billion names)
Late submission – 336885696
Grand total – 2928690432 (approx 2.9
billion names)
Devotees from 29 countries had joined this sankalpa. This rounds were not
only chanted by Guru Maharaja’s disciples but even siksa disciples and well
wishers joined as well.
On the day of Narasimha Caturdasi, Bhakti Purushottam Maharaja, Pankajanghri
prabhu and Bhadra Caru prabhu performed a ceremony of offering this sankalpa
to Lord Narasimhadeva. Right before the altar of Lord Narasimhadeva they
made a raised platform on which Narasimha yantra was placed. 64 upacaras
where offered to the yantra. All the devotees gathered in the temple and
chanting as the ceremony was going on. A book was printed with the names of
the devotees who had chanted along with the number of rounds they had
chanted. This book was offered at the lotus feet of Lord Narasimhadeva. All
these names were then offered to the Narasimha yantra for Guru Maharaja’s
recovery.
Guru Maharaja after receiving the above report has sent this following
letter to all those devotees who participated:
My Dear Spiritual Children,
Please accept my blessings! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Thankyou for your. Chanting extra rounds for my quick recovery. It is very
moving indeed. Since the sacrifice you performed dr. Acyutananda das RNS has
been saying my walking has improved.
In any case I will be doing my therapy and hopefully by the causeless mercy
of
Lord Krishna I will soon be able to walk without a helper.
Let me take this oppurtunity to thankyou all. The illness I had recovery is
slow if at all. So any recovery is causeless mercy.
