Dear devotees,

glories to Guru Maharaja!
As you all know, Guru Maharaja is slowly recovering from the stroke which he
suffered almost two years ago. However, there is still much more recovery to
be done, before he can start travelling. He needs to undergo physio-therapy
treatment every single day, from a qualified therapist, and also use certain
equipment which is available only in a few places in the world.This has to
continue as long as he is showing improvement: if his therapy is stopped
even for 48 hours, he will regress, and then recovering again will be a far
more difficult task. Therefore, for devotees to contact Guru Maharaja
directly and invite him places him in a dilemma, as he does not like to
refuse anyone, and is eager to meet them.

Bhakti Purushottama Maharaja was in anxiety earlier regarding accomplishing
the sankalpa. With his sincere desire and with all devotees enthusiasm the
vrata was easily accomplished. Indeed it was even triple achieved! Thank you
all so much. Here is the report:

El miércoles por la tarde el día 22 de octubre 2008 hicimos nuestro servicio
regular a la Deidad en nuestro templo en Houston. Mi prabhu y yo estábamos
vistiendo a las Deidades de Sri Sri Radha Nilamadhava. Escuché sonando
nuestro móvil varias veces, pero no quería interrumpir nuestro servicio, por
lo tanto no lo cogí. Sin embargo cuando sonó de nuevo pensé que debería ver
una emergencia. Salí del altar y vi llamadas perdidas de mi hermano
espiritual en Atlanta, Su Gracia Lakshman Rama Prabhu. Cuando le llamé me
dio las noticias tan chocantes acera de Srila Jayapataka Swami Guru
Maharaja. Me dijo que Guru Maharaja se había quedado inconsciente en Mumbai.
No estaba seguro de la causa, pero todos estaban preocupados. Después de
esto ya no era capaz de fijar mi mente apropiadamente en mi servicio, por lo
tanto empecé a orar desamparadamente a las Deidades mientras completé mi
servicio.
