Guru Maharaja celebrated the most auspicious day of Gaura Purnima in ISKCON
Juhu temple. We arrived there in the afternoon. Guru Maharaja took a short
rest and prepared himself for the lecture that started at 5 pm. He recieved
a warm welcome from the assembled devotees and visitors. He was talking
about Lord Caitanya’s appearence in the house of Jagannatha Mishra. Then he
was explaining about the inner reasons of Lord Caitanya’s appearence in this
material world by telling a story of Rukmini Devi’s talk to Lord Krishna in
the spiritual world, where she was revealing to Lord Krishna her deep
feelings of love for Him, after what Lord Krishna decided to come in the
form of His own devotee in order to taste that same feeling of love, which
His devotees have for Him.

Dear devotees,
Dandavat pranams
This Gaurpurnima festival at ISKCON JUHU in Mumbai, was not a normal
festival at all, for the first time they have HH Jayapataka Swami as a
special guest, since His Holiness never missed any Gaurpurnima Festival
since ISKCON Mayapur was founded in India. This year was the exception.
The temple was fully packed, all were waiting for the arrival of
Gurumaharaja in the afternoon for the lecture and then for the Maha
abhisheka. HH JPS was in Mayapur for the festival opening ceremony and for
the Panca tattva Mahaabisheka that is held each 5 years. But was not for the
appearance day of Lord Gauranga as he was taking treatments in Bombay.
Therefore this time it was scheduled to participate as a guest in one of
the most important temples of Radha Krishna in the world as is the JUHU
temple in the cosmoplitan city of India.
Dear Devotees,
dandavat pranams.
This is just a short report on the activities of HH Jayapataka Swami for the
last week while he is continuing with his therapies at the Bhaktivedanta
Hospital in Bombay.
Tomorrow during Gaurpurnima, Gurumaharja will go to JUHU temple to
participate in the abhisheka and deliver the lecture on this very
auspiscious occasion of the appearance of the Golden Avatar Sri Krsna
Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

HH Jayapataka Swami gives lecture at Srinathji Dham -Mumbai.
As usual every Sunday we have some special program for HH Jayapataka Swami
Gurumaharaja, as it is the only day free for him to go out of the hospital
and have minimum number of therapies.
This Sunday was decided to attend the invitation of the devotees from ISKCON
Juhu and ISKCON Surat who are organizing a picnic for the devotees
especially the ISKCON Youth forum from Juhu and the Bhakti vriksha groups,
at a site in the forest on the north-west side of the outskirt of Mumbai,
almost 35 minutes from Mira Road.

Dear Devotees.
Dandavat pranams
After been for some time out of Bombay, as I went to Pune that day with HH
Jayapataka Swami and stayed back till the temple opening in Arawade, (4
hours from Pune in Maharashtra) and then to Pandharpur dham, I just came
yesterday early morning by train from Solarpur, reaching at 9:00 am at the
Bhaktivedanta Hospital, wanting to see GM, but found out that His Holiness
was taking bath so decided to come later. Few days back while I was in
Arawade I was told that HH Sivaram Swami and HH Bhaktivikas swami are coming
to see HH JPS before going for GBC meetings at Mayapur Dham. It was great to
see that many senior devotees are coming to visit our beloved Gurudeva on
their way to Mayapur by having a stopover in Bombay. This also gives him a
lot of happiness. So I came back at 11 am and found that GM was in a meeting
with HG Dr. Madhavanada Prabhu and the acupuncturist who was putting some
magnets on the fingers of GM for a special therapy and to help in increasing
his level of sensations in the right leg.
During the week Guru Maharaja gave three short lectures through the phone,
from his room in Bhaktivedanta Hospital. One was on Wednesday evening for
the Prerna festival in Chowpatty, the program conducted by ISKCON Youth
Services. The second time Guru Maharaja gave on Nityananda Trayodasi; two
lectures on the same day; first one for the program of the new temple
opening in Aravade (Srila Lokanatha Swami’s birth place), and second for the
celebration in Chowpatty temple.
On Sunday 8th February, Guru Maharaja was invited for Sunday feast in Juhu
temple.
