Dear God-brothers / God-sisters,
Hare Krishna! Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila
Prabhupada. All glories to Srila Guru Maharaj.
On behalf of the JSSS we would like to thank all the devotees from around
the world, who have been sincerely praying for the speedy recovery of Guru
Maharaj. Whether performing tapasya, yajnas, doing extra rounds, or praying,
it is due to all your intense prayers that Srila Guru Maharaj’s health is
improving day by day. The Medical fraternity has acknowledged it as a
miraculous recovery.
We all know that there is no other medicine than Lord Sri Krsna and His holy
names, and that He is our only true shelter and real saviour.
Vyamoha-prasam aushadham muni-mano-vritti-pravritty-
Daityendrarti-karaushadham tri-bhuvane sanjivanaikaushadham
Bhaktatyanta-hitaushadham bhava-bhaya-pradhvamsanaikaushadham
Sreyah-prapti-karaushadham piba manah sri-krishna-divyaushadham 32
Medicine that cures improper desires,
Medicine in the minds of sages, Which makes them to meditate,
Medicine for controlling king among Rakshasas,
Medicine which gives life to the three worlds,
Medicine which cures the travails of devotees,
Medicine that cures fear of existence,
Medicine that can bring all glory,
Is the holy medicine of Sri Krishna.
And so, devotees drink it to your fill..
idam sariram sata-sandhi-jarijjaram
pataty-avasyam parinama-pesalam
kim-ausadhim prcchasi mudha durmate
niramayam krsna-rasayanam piba
What medicine are you seeking to remedy this situation? Just incessantly
drink the medicine of the holy name of Sri Krsna which destroys the
disease of this material existence, the source of all other diseases.”

Gurudeva gave us Sri Krishna, the Holy Name and He taught us – What is
Prayer?, Whom to Pray to?, How to Pray? and since we can`t directly approach
the Lord, he carries our Prayers to the Lord. Now, how do we repay our debt
to our gurudev ? Its not possible ! But we can try to repay, by sincerely
offering our intense prayers, for him, to the Lord, like offering Ganges
water to the Ganges. Gurudev doesn`t need our prayers, as he is under the
direct shelter of the Lord, but we still do it for our own purification and
expression of Love for him.
We humbly like to request everyone to continue praying more intensely for
and on behalf of Guru Maharaj, so that he will be able to walk, talk and
preach as he used to.
This year, the Most Blessed Event, the “Sri Vyasa Puja Celebrations” of our
dear Guru Maharaj falls on 5th April 2009.

This year is special in many ways for us and especially it’s the 60th year
celebrations and we are planning a grand offering for Srila Gurudev. We will
send you more information on the celebrations shortly.
This email is to request you to please send your Vyasa Puja Homages for
2009. We are sending this request now – so that you have sufficient time to
write your homages and send them to us before the deadline (25th February
2009).
Kindly follow these guidelines:
– Send your Homages to <JPS.VP@pamho.net> only.
– Please do not send your Homages to Guru Maharaj, or his
secretaries e-mail IDs or to any of the other Conferences.
(Sending it to Guru Maharaj`s ID – will clog his mail box and he
has to again forward it to us. He will read your homages from the
conference anyway.)
– In the Subject line mention, the Name of the person / s the
homage is from, your Yatra, City & Country.
For ex: Guru Das, Mayapur, India.
– Please mention (Siksha Disciple) or (Diksha disciple) or
(Aspiring) or (Shelter) or (Well-wisher) as the case
maybe.
– Please send only one homage per mail.
– Please ** do not ** send your homages as *** attachments ***.
– Please don`t type your homages in ALL CAPS.
– You may include a recent picture of yours as an attachement to
your e-mail. (A picture of yours with Guru Maharaj – would be
great!). Please use ** your Name ** as the file-name for the
picture file.
For ex: <guru das Mayapur India.jpg>
– If you want to add a report of any specific service that you are
performing to Guru Maharaj, you may please do so.
If you are a local JSSS Co-ordinator, Area co-ordinator – kindly forward
this message to everyone under your care or make an announcement of the same
in the proper forum.
Homages received would be offered to Guru Maharaj and the same posted on the
website (www.victorflag.org) for everyones pleasure. They would be available
for viewing on the website, from the Vyasa Puja day onwards.
The deadline for sending the homage is ** 25th February 2009 **.
